The already moved so fast, and we have already past Lunar New Year and into February. I was reviewing my reading list and came across this thoughtful article from Harvard’s Law School Forum on Corporate Governance on 15 ESG things to watch that will influence Corporate Strategy in 2023. I read quite a bit on these topics as we are working in the space and with several clients already, and we are already seeing a few of these issues come to light.
While ESG is moving in a somewhat fragmented but fast pace and – to a degree - in fits and starts, businesses and consumers all are being impacted and, for the most part, want to help make a difference. Governments continue to try to positively impact our organizations, people and planet as well with targeted regulations and incentives to help move us one step further toward making incremental and revolutionary differences. And organizations like Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), led here in Asia by my friend Donald Chan, are making huge progress in bringing data and metrics to the forefront to help organizations learn, grow and be accountable.
The 15 here are both forward-thinking and timely as stakeholders are being “nudged” from many directions. We are working with businesses from Ag Tech to VCs to early-stage startups to better understanding how to chart their way forward and articulate their efforts to their stakeholders – and make a positive impact. Check out the 15 and reach out to us at Lightwheel Advisors for more information or any support we can offer.
Also, keep an eye out for some new team members, new surveys and insights and our encompassing FAQ page coming in March…
